The Windyke Ladies Golf Association (WLGA) invites all lady members to join a ladies golf group. Windyke has two golf groups for ladies--the 18-hole group and 9-hole group. Both groups play on Tuesday mornings from April to October. It's never too late to sign up. The membership fee is $50. Every Tuesday morning, nine-hole members tee off at 8:30 a.m., and our eighteen-hole group goes off at 8:45 a.m. Don't miss out on making new friends and having great fun sharing your favorite game! For more information, call Cheryl Spatig at (901) 601-7356 or email her at cspatig60@comcast.net.
Improve your golf game! Meet new friends! Improve your health (good for your heart and blood pressure)! Enjoy the beauty of nature! Reduce stress!

MISSION AND GOALS
The Windyke Ladies Golf Association will strive to create an environment conducive to fun and participation by the club’s lady golfers. We will strive to be the premier ladies golf association in the local community and across the state.
2011/2012 Rally Champions List
As a 15 year supporter of the Rally for the Cure program, the Windyke Ladies Golf Association has been named to the 2011/2012 Rally Champions List. The Champions List is comprised of Rally Ambassadors, groups and individuals who have dedicated a tremendous amount of time, energy and passion to spreading breast cancer awareness through the Rally program for a minimum of fifteen years. The event hosted annually by the WLGA has played a major role in getting us one step closer to a world without breast cancer. To commemorate this honor, Rally has funded a Susan G. Komen Research Grant on behalf of the WLGA. The grant entitled, “The Role of Estrogen in Breast Cancer Gene Amplification,” is a three-year study led by Dr. Susan Gerbi of Brown University. Thanks to groups like the WLGA, Rally has generated over $65 million for Susan G. Komen since 1996, helping fun life-saving breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs. The WLGA truly are Champions!
WLGA Christmas Tradition
The Windyke Ladies Golf Association celebrated the holidays with their annual brunch on December 13th in the home of member Nancy Carey. In keeping with the past tradition of remembering the mothers in residence at the Memphis Family Shelter, over $800 was donated by our members and Windyke Country Club. This enabled us to purchase sixteen $50 gift cards for each mother to use and some small token gifts for the staff at MFS! Thanks to everyone who participated in this wonderful venture!
