Golf Learning Center for Adults and Juniors
At Windyke Country Club, we are committed to providing unparalleled values for all of our products and services. Our lesson and clinic programs are formulated to equip our students with the knowledge, sensations and practice routines to repeat the skills necessary to increase their golfing enjoyment. We accomplish this with a highly trained staff of PGA professionals utilizing proven training systems, state-of-the-art teaching tools and a personal touch, all of which enable us to assist our students in their improvement. Instrumental to our success is understanding the importance of listening to our students so we can help them establish clear goals to reach their ball striking and playing potentials. During the lesson setting, this approach enables us to identify the top priorities for improvement and design programs to correct and/or develop the swinging action, short game and putting stroke. But our job doesn't end there. We also pride ourselves upon helping our students apply their skills on the golf course through highly specialized playing lessons, which prepare our students to thrive in both recreational and competitive settings. In conclusion, we are confident that our experience, attention to details and concern for our students all combine to offer our membership and students the highest value in golf instruction.

BROCK'S TIP OF THE MONTH
Just to keep encouraging you to consider T.P.I. training, I want you all to know that I have committed to physical training myself in 2013 and I am off to a good start. It has been years since I had taken fitness this seriously. In fact, I never have taken it this seriously (except maybe during basketball practice in high school!). My workouts have been concentrated to 20 minute intense bursts through a training video (from the Biggest Loser show!) and two Titleist Performance Institute DVDs. Despite working with T.P.I. for less than a year, the Tennessee PGA has asked me to speak at our annual Teaching/Coaching Summit on this subject. Golf and fitness have taken the PGA Tour by storm, but it hasn’t reached the masses yet. In fact, I am the only Memphis address that offers the T.P.I. fitness program! A few chiropractors in Germantown and Collierville offer the program, but Windyke Country Club is the only golf facility, so take advantage of it!
I will be integrating T.P.I. into my $29 clinics this year. If you remember, I offer $29 clinics on Friday’s from 4 – 5 pm. I covered putting, chipping, and full swing last year and now have added a fitness session and a mental toughness seminar to the mix. So, each month you have the opportunity to access any of these topics. I will start with a mental toughness seminar on Friday, March 1st. T.P.I. fitness is the focus on the 8th. Putting falls on the 15th, chipping on the 22nd, and full swing on the 29th. The cycle repeats each month, with a different focus for each topic. Use these affordable clinics to invite a friend, a spouse, or to meet others who love to work their games. It really works for the beginner and the expert, so give it a try.
Lastly, if you are a ‘golf widow’ so to speak, and your husband uses the membership, but you rarely do, consider taking a ‘Get Golf Ready’ class. This class covers rules, golf terminology and etiquette, and basic fundamentals of the swing. It helps you get more comfortable in the golf environment so that you can use your membership to the fullest. You don’t even have to have clubs, just the desire to learn more about the game.
