Swim Team

Windyke Country Club has a competitive swim team called the Windyke Piranhas that competes in the Country Club League.  The requirements to be part of the swim team are the swimmer must be between the ages of 5-19, a member of the club in good standing (you can swim under a grandparent's membership), and able to swim 25 yards (one lap of the pool) unassisted.  The fee is $135 for one swimmer, $245 for two and $350 for 3 or more. THANKS FOR A BANNER SEASON!!

Windyke Piranhas, parents and grandparents should be very proud.  We finished a wonderful season full of new friendships, fantastic swim times, and most of all, fun! 

When I last wrote, Windyke was about to participate in the City Meet.  This competition gathers swimmers from every club in Memphis.  I am proud to say that Windyke placed 2nd in their division, a great feat indeed.  Of our 43 swimmers entered that day, six finished as high point winners in their age divisions.  Way to go Team!

I want to thank our club.  Without the support from the leadership and staff of Windyke, we could not have done it. 

A special shout out to our parents!  You drove your swimmers to practice every week, helped in the bullpens (no easy task), timed swim lanes and offered the greatest hospitality ever.  And finally, a great BIG thanks to our league representative, Diana Harviel and our coaches Felipe and Peterson.  Both the kids and their parents appreciate all you have done for them.

Piranhas, just keep swimming, we will see you next year!
